Top kit with the usual German quality of engineering. Glad I chose it.

The quality of the tow bar is superb and it comes as a one piece unit held in with four large bolts. Two of the bolts are hard to tighten as the rear leaf springs get in the way. Removing the spare wheel makes it easier to do the N/S one but the silencer box gets in the way for the O/S. I chose this bar because my van has reversing sensors and the removable tow bar means they'll still work. The sensors have to be disconnected when removing the bumper, the easiest way I found was to unplug the wiring to them and then reconnect when the bumper is replaced. The large metal VW bumper behind the plastic bumper is discarded and the plastic bumper attached to a new metal strip supplied in the kit. My bumper only had two captive nuts whereas Westfalia supply 4 bolts for holding the plastic bumper to the metal strip so you would be advised to get hold of two more captive nuts before fitting the towbar.

I used the bypass relay supplied by P F Jones for the wiring and it works well, the reversing sensors also work when the tow bar has been removed.
