BMW makes great towing cars
Due to their strong and powerful engines, BMW cars are notorious for being strong towing vehicles. Most BMW cars, when fitted with a tow bar, will be able to pull everything from a trailer to a large caravan, the BMW X5, for example, has a towing limit of 3500kg. However, some of the new efficient dynamic engines make some BMW vehicles not suitable for towing such as the BMW 3 series. The BMW 6 series is also not approved for towing.

BMW factory fitted tow bars
When a BMW vehicle is fitted with a tow bar at the factory during production or at a BMW dealer, it will always be fitted with either a Westfalia tow bar or an Oris tow bar. Westfalia is one of Germany’s largest tow bar manufacturers and in the number one brand of choice for most German car manufacturers. PF Jones was the first to supply Westfalia tow bars in the UK and have an outstanding knowledge of the brand and its’ products.
