Could I fit my own tow bar?
This depends entirely on a person/s technical ability. Everything that is needed to carry out a complete installation is included with our tow bars. This includes the tow bar, tow bar wiring and also the fitting kit.In most cases no holes have to be drilled but the boot trim and rear bumper will need to be removed to give easy access. It is therefore essential that you have all the tools needed to carry out the job. All towbars we supply require no welding.
How long will it take to fit my tow bar?
The time it takes to fit a tow bar varies depending on many different factors such as your vehicle, the type of towbar to be fitted and which type of electrics you are having fitted. We are able to give an approximate time for tow bar fitting we carry out as we are skilled tow bar fitters.
Do Fitting Instructions come with your tow bars?
Full fitting instructions come with each tow bars that we sell. We supply the manufacturers genuine fitting instructions. Manufacturers such as Witter and Westfalia. We also have towbar fitting experts on hand to assist you with any questions you may have.
Do wiring instructions including wiring diagram come with your electrics kits?
All of our towbar electrics kits come with full instructions and wiring diagrams.
How do single electrics twin electrics differ?
Single electrics, known as 12n is a single socket which supply the rear lights and rear indicators for trailers, cycle carriers and caravans.
Twin electrics, known as 12n 12s is a twin socket which has the 12n single electrics on it but also another socket, the 12s. This is what makes it a twin electrics as you have two sockets instead of one. The 12s part of a twin electrics supply additional electrics to power a fridge in a caravan for example. Is vehicle specific wiring loom information provided?
As each vehicles different and new vehicles constantly becoming available, we do not offer specific wiring loom information. Please see your vehicles own wiring diagram.
Are your single electric kits genuine vehicle specific wiring kits?
Our single electrics kits are universal electrics kits. Depending on which vehicle you may have, you may need to install a bypass relay also.
Can you supply new bolt kits for tow bars?
This differs between the brand of towbar. Please contact us for further information.
Can fitting towbar electrics damage my vehicle management system?
Certain towbar electrics can damage your vehicle management system. The best way to avoid this is to fit one of our 7 way bypass relays. This ensures your management system and tow bar electrics are kept separate.
I only want to tow a horse box or cycle carrier, can I get a lighter tow bar?
All towbars supplied have to be able to carry the maximum vehicle towing capacity.
Do you have pictures of towbars fitted to different vehicles?

I cannot see a tow bar for my vehicle on your website. Can you supply a towbar for a vehicle not listed on site?
As new towbars are constantly becoming available we strive to update our site as soon as a new towbar arrives on the market. If for any reason you cannot find a towbar for your vehicle please contact us with your vehicle details.
Will a UK tow bar fit on a imported vehicle?
This will vary from vehicle to vehicle. Please contact us for a definite answer.
Can I look at the fitting instructions of a towbar before deciding whether to fit the bar myself or get it fitted by you?

I have an automatic car. Do I need a gearbox cooler?
If you are frequently towing near maximum towing weight at regular periods then it is advisable.
I have an LPG gas conversion. Will a towbar still fit?
You will need to bring the vehicle for one of our technicians to see if the towbar will fit.
Will an aftermarket tow bar void my warranty?
No. As long as the tow bar you intend to fit is Type Approved your manufacturers warranty will not be void.
I have a caravan which is fitted with alko stabilisers, do I need to purchase anything extra?
All you will need instead of a normal towball is a alko towball.
I would like a cycle carrier but am not sure which one. What would you recommend?
This depends on the individual. You will need to consider: Whether you would like a roof mounted or rear mounted cycle carrying system? How many bikes you intend to carry? Do you need to tow a caravan and carry bikes at the same time? How much money you intend to spend?
