The Vauxhall Astra Van is a three-door light van range that as of 2006, is in its fifth generation. Originating in 1981, over time the range has been improved with the fifth generation adding a level of sophistication and build quality. Available in an array of engines such as; 1.2 litres, 1.7 litres and 1.9-litre diesel, along with a 1.4 petrol engine. This modified version of an estate model has a maximum payload of 650 kgs and a towing capacity of 1400 kgs. Altogether, the Vauxhall Astra Van is a smart, reliable van that is an ideal used buy for those looking to transport goods.

Vauxhall Astra Van 2006 Onwards Towbar electric kits

Vauxhall Astra Van 2006 Onwards Towbars can be fitted with a dedicated electrics kit, this not only helps to ensure all modern features, such as trailer stability, parking sensors function correctly, but also ensures that the vehicles manufacturer’s warranty is not invalidated. We do of course offer, Vauxhall Astra Van 2006 Onwards Towbars universal electrics kits, however as stated these will invalidate any manufacturer warranty you may have.

Bypass Relays

Vauxhall Astra Van 2006 Onwards Towbars will require a bypass relay if universal electrics are fitted. Bypass relays are used to ensure that the kit does not present faults on the dashboard.

A bypass relay helps the universal kit hide from your vehicle ECU and functions so as not to put faults on the dashboard hence the name “BYPASS”.

A dedicated system works in harmony with your vehicles ECU and all of its functions.

Coding

This is the coding of the ECU to accept the dedicated system, this updates your vehicle's software to run smoothly with the new towbar, it works very much like an update to your smartphone. All Vauxhall Astra Van 2006 Onwards Towbar's will NOT require coding if a dedicated kit is fitted.

Bumper cuts

The only option on the Vauxhall Astra Van 2006 Onwards Towbars are, No Cut, a bumper cut is not required.

Nose weight

Nose weight is the amount of weight pushing down on the tow ball, it is important to not exceed the nose weight set on the tow bar, failure to do so could damage the car chassis and/or tow bar mounting points. For the Vauxhall Astra Van Towbars, the maximum capacity nose weight is 75kg, nose weights are displayed under each tow bar below.

Towing weight

Towing weight is the weight that the Vauxhall Astra Van 2014 Towbars can tow safely, without damaging the vehicle, the maximum towing weight capacity is 1500kg.

You will need to check the towing limit for your model of Vauxhall Astra Van 2014 Towbars as it may not be able to tow up to the weight limit that the tow bar can tow.

Vauxhall Astra Van 1998-2006 Towbar electric kits
