The Vauxhall Astra Estate is the seventh generation of estates in the line, first introduced in 1980 and had remained popular since. A range of reduced running costs, it has a broad range of compact engines to choose from; 1.1 litres, 1.4 litres or a 1.6-litre petrol engine, as well as a 1.6-litre diesel. The range comes with a boot capacity of 540 litres, this can expand to an impressive 1630 litres with the rear seats folded. Altogether, with a towing capacity of 1650 kgs, the Vauxhall Astra Estate is a range that is better than ever to drive.

Vauxhall Astra Estate K 2016 Onwards Towbars can be fitted with a dedicated electrics kit, this not only helps to ensure all modern features, such as trailer stability, parking sensors function correctly, but also ensures that the vehicles manufacturer’s warranty is not invalidated.

We recommend that all tow bars fitted to a Vauxhall Astra K 2016 Onwards Towbars are fitted with a dedicated electrics kit, this not only helps to ensure all modern features, such as trailer stability, parking sensors function correctly, but also ensures that the vehicles manufacturer’s warranty is not invalidated. We offer both 7 pin and 13 pin dedicated electrics kits for the Vauxhall Astra Estate K 2016 Onwards.

A quick look at Vauxhall's warranty page confirms that Vauxhall Astra Estate's K produced from 2016 onwards, only vans produced in the last three years will have a manufacturers warranty active.

"Vauxhall’s new vehicle warranty ensures your peace of mind against material or manufacturing defects for three years (unlimited mileage for the first 12 months and subject to a total mileage limit of 60,000 miles from first registration). We do of course offer, Vauxhall Astra Estate K 2016 Onwards Towbars universal electrics kits, however as stated these will invalidate any manufacturer warranty you may have.

Bypass Relays

Vauxhall Astra Estate K 2016 Onwards Towbars will require a bypass relay if universal electrics are fitted. Bypass relays are used to ensure that the kit does not present faults on the dashboard.

A bypass relay helps the universal kit hide from your vehicle ECU and functions so as not to put faults on the dashboard hence the name “BYPASS”.

A dedicated system works in harmony with your vehicles ECU and all of its functions.

Coding

This is the coding of the ECU to accept the dedicated system, this updates your vehicle's software to run smoothly with the new towbar, it works very much like an update to your smartphone. All Vauxhall Astra Estates K 2016 Onwards Towbar's will NOT require coding if a dedicated kit is fitted.

Bumper cuts

The only options on the Vauxhall Astra Estate K 2016 Onwards Towbars are, No Cut, None Visible, Visible, a bumper cut is not required.

Nose weight

Nose weight is the amount of weight pushing down on the tow ball, it is important to not exceed the nose weight set on the tow bar, failure to do so could damage the car chassis and/or tow bar mounting points. For the Vauxhall Astra K 2016 Onwards Towbars the maximum capacity nose weight is 75kg, nose weights are displayed under each tow bar below.

Towing weight

Towing weight is the weight that the Vauxhall Astra Estate K 2016 Onwards Towbars can tow safely, without damaging the vehicle, the maximum towing weight capacity is 2100kg, the minimum towing weight capacity is 1500kg.
