The Alfa Romeo 159 Saloon is no longer in production, but is a popular choice in second hand car owners because of its low buying price despite its satisfactory performance. The vehicle was only ever produced with the option to choose between three different engines; the petrol option giving the highest performance whilst the 2.0 diesel makes the most sense when approaching the car from a financial stand point. The 159 Saloon deals well with most surfaces however the suspension is susceptible to clunking over bumps, the body movement isn’t tightly controlled either which makes driving on winding country rewards challenging and tiresome. The 159 Saloon’s maximum towing capacity is 1800kg allowing for a decent sized family caravan to be towed when needed.
