Why is the tow bar only rated to 1800kg when the vehicle can tow 2100kg? Do you post a warning on the tow bar to warn users that the tow bar is not capable of handling the full towing capacity?

Hi Jonathan, this is the max towing weight stated by Witter when they manufactured it and had it approved, you would need to adhere to this to stay within type approval.
would this tow bar be suitable for a skoda yeti tdi 2.0 4x4 special editions, with regard to interfering with the parking sensors?

Hi Malcolm, i'm afraid we can't guarantee that any fixed towbar wont be picked up on by the sensors, Some people stand something up at the back of the vehicle to simulate where a towbar would be then put it in reverse and switch the ignition on to see if it beeps, again it's not a 100% guarantee but it gives you an idea. Thanks.
