Coding is required to tell the vehicles ECU that a towbar is present so the towing electrics will function properly. This is done with a diagnostic tool, and may need to be done by the main dealers.

Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a 2007 Mercedes-Benz E Class E320 CDI Sport Touring which has the AMG body kit as in the photo atached in the link below
