Description
Mercedes C Class Saloon 12/2013-2018 Brink Detachable Towbar AMG Styling ONLY
The towbar fitted almost perfectly, just a small notch required behind the AMG style undertray. The towbar is completely invisible with no visible cuts! Much better than any other towbar I've seen in Australia! Great service from PF Jones & a great product.
I am looking at the Thule detachable towbar for my Mercedes C Class W205 with AMG styling. The car is fitted with the easy access boot option. Will the towbar and dedicated electrics be ok with this option, and will the easy access boot work. Best Regards Keith

Hi Keith
Im afraid we cannot guarantee any towbar working with the sensor as every one we have tried upto now has effected the sensor
Kind regards
Hi Aaron
Thanks for your honest answer just how does it effect the sensor, does it give any faults the car, does the sensor work with the detachable ball removed.
I don't think the sensor can be disabled, I only tow a small trailer or bike rack.
Many thanks in advance
Keith

Hi Keith
The Towbar will not put any faults on the car the only thing it will do is when fitted and reversing it will pickup the sensors and when detached the vehicle will be back to normal
Kind regards
Can this tow bar be fitted to a AMG line premium? - It has hands free boot access.
The Mercedes factory fit tow bar says say that the hands free boot access is removed

Hi Steven,
All towbars for this vehicle have a visible bumper cut when fitted to the AMG line vehicles, the bar that fits best and has the least visible cut is the Bosal detachable:
http://www.pfjones.co.uk/mercedes-c-class-205-2014-on-bosal-detachable-towbar.html
The Bosal is the original equipment for this vehicle.
And I'm afraid you have to deactivate the hands free boot access because the towbar obscures the sensor, regardless of which towbar you use.
Thanks.
