Reviews

my husband fitted this to my car, took a few hours, but as he said he could do it faster next time!!
It seems to be a good tow bar that fitted well and neat when fitted. I am not an engineer but it is made of thick steel and appears over specified to me so I am sure it will not fail.

I had a small problem fitting the tow bar. I am not a mechanic and my only other tow bar fitting was 30 years ago. The crossbar looked as though 2 of the bolts fitted into a rubber bush. I thought this was odd but assumed it was some shock absorbing method. I could not get bolts to go into this bush. I rang Brink and they explained this was a plug that needed to be removed. The instructions detailed the need to take off tape from car member to expose bolt holes to affix towbar. the instructions should have detailed the need to take out this plugs from the cross member apparently there to protect threads in painting process. It cost me quite a bit of time trying to bolt this part on before I in desperation rang Brink Customer services.
In summary appears to be a good tow bar but the fitting instructions could be improved with instruction to take out blanking plugs to help the inexperienced like me.
