I have just done an online quote on you web site for a towbar to fit my BMW X6 F16
The price quoted including electrics is £399.00
This price seems very good compared to BMW agents quotes approximately £2750.00
They say I will need to fit an upgraded cooling fan at the same time if I want to tow and not void my cars warranty?
Can you help and explain if this is true?

Hello Mr Johnson, Main dealers play safe. They assume that if you fit a tow bar you will be pulling a two ton caravan through the sahara desert in summer. Manufacturers sell cars with different specifications to different parts of the world. Ones coming into the UK will be different to ones sold in hot climates. If you are towing a heavy caravan in a hot country then yes, have the fan upgrade done, but if it's a small trailer in Milton Keynes to the tip and back it doesn't need doing. You have a temp gauge. If it starts going into the red pull over and let it cool down. It all depends on what you're towing, where and when. Thank you.
