Reviews

Excellent but if kit and easy to fit.
Fits great as you would expect since Westfalia make towbars for BMW. Only complaints are the electrics socket is very close to the lower edge of the bumper making it slightly awkward to connect/disconnect, and the rear parking sensors don't disable automatically when the trailer is connected without having the vehicle coded despite the advert stating that coding was not required. All in all a good product and I would still buy it again despite my comments above.
All good fitted spot on, written instruction rather than picture would of helped
But got there in the end
Great value towbar, fitting was straight forward.
Pretty easy to fit, but i did farm out the electrics to a spark as i didn't want scotchlocks being used on my BMW. but happy with how it looks and works
well fitted and as advertised
It works well is easily removed and have used so far with a trailer. have yet to hitch up the caravan!
Great product. Easy to remove and install.
Really good. I had the OEM electric version on my previous E91 - this isnt as good but it's close. Looks quality, easy to fit and remove, completely hidden when not in use and requires no bumper cuts.
Very good and would recommend
I bought this and fitted myself. It was very easy to fit. The fit is perfect with no interference issues with the car bodywork; this is unsurprising as this is the one BMW use as their own if you spec it or go to them for a retrofit. If you have a petrol model you need to add the exhaust heat shield bracket option and replace the existing exhaust muffler heat shield a special version from BMW and it will fit perfectly. The build quality is solid as a rock and the detachable mechanism works so well that it is a joy. I can highly recommend.
Very good quality, no issues with fitting whatsoever.
Fitted a detachable one to my new car. I had one on my old car so already knew how good they were. Very easy to fit and take off. Highly recommended.
Brilliant service, well priced, fitting service fantastic!
Excellent Detachable towbar. Fits well with no interface issues with BMW bodywork. Is well hidden when towball detached.
Had one of these on a previous car. Strong, safe and trusty. Best brand by far.
Cannot think there any areas for improvements. Very satisfied with order procedure and would recommend to others
Hard to fault or find anything to improve, the price was competitive, service was responsive and reliable, and the fitter was timely, friendly, and efficient.
brought towbar for a F31 and found very easy to fit, bumper is much easier to get off than the previous model. I also brought the deicated electrics kit which was also fairly easy to fit, there is a bit of de-trimming required but all panels are easy to remove and re-fit. Note than when connecting the data can cable at the front of the car there are 2 sets of cables that match the colour required, you must choose the ones that are tightly wound together, other than that it's straight forward.

Q & A

My car was registered in November 2014. Are there any visual clues to know which of the 2 electric kits I need?

Hi, I already have the detachable part for a Wesfalia tow bar (fitted to my e91 BMW last sept.) Are you able to supply just the bar and electrics for an F31 BMW 3 series touring minus the detachable part? Thanks Rich

Is the heat shield required for the Westfalia detachable towbar on a 2015 BMW 335d? The install document reports it is not required only on the N47 engine which is the 4 cylinder diesel, but the 335d is a N57 6 cylinder. Many thanks, Mark
