Tipper Tailboard Protector

The tipper tailboard protector is designed to protect the tailgate/tailboard on tipper conversions from damage resulting from contact between the towball or coupling and the lowered tailgate. 

Due to the wide variety of different manufacturers of chassis cabs, together with variations in the location and type of tipper bodies it is not possible to guarantee that this is a universally applicable product. It is the fitters responsibility to check that the protector performs satisfactory during tipping. 

It is also essential to ensure that the protector or tailgate cannot become jammed into or onto the towball or coupling during tipping. Failure to do so may result in a situation where damage could occur to the vehicle chassis, tailgate or towing equipment. 

KIT INCLUDES:

• 1 Deflector Plate
• 4 M10 x 50mm Bolts, Nyloc Nuts and Flat Washers

Installation

• Position on centre of tailboard
• Drill 4 x M10 holes
• Place protector plate onto tailboard with top of plate curved towards the rear of the cab
• Secure with 4 x M10 bolts, nylocs and washers supplied
• Finish by fixing protection caps on bolt heads and nuts
