The Vauxhall Vivaro is a five-door medium to large van range. It was launched in 2001 with both Nissan and Renault vans, as they joined together to build their separate lines. The second generation was launched in 2014 with a range of varied shapes and sizes.The range comes with a choice of a 2.0 litre or 2.5-litre diesel engine, along with an impressive towing capacity of 2000 kgs. In all, the Vauxhall Vivaro has a reputation for reliability as it established Vauxhall as a credible LCV manufacturer, so ultimately you can’t go wrong with this range. Below we will cover the towing specifications of the three generations of Vauxhall Vivaro's.
Vauxhall Vivaro 2014 Onwards Towbar electric kits
We recommend that all tow bars fitted to a Vauxhall Vivaro 2014 Onwards are fitted with a dedicated electrics kit, this not only helps to ensure all modern features, such as trailer stability, parking sensors function correctly, but also ensures that the vehicles manufacturer’s warranty is not invalidated.We offer both 7 pin and 13 pin dedicated electrics kits for the Vauxhall Vivaro 2014 onwards.
A quick look at Vauxhall's warranty page confirms that Vivaro's produced from 2014 onwards, only vans produced in the last three years will have a manufacturers warranty active.
"Vauxhall’s new vehicle warranty ensures your peace of mind against material or manufacturing defects for three years (unlimited mileage for the first 12 months and subject to a total mileage limit of 60,000 miles from first registration).We do of course offer, Vauxhall Vivaro 2014 Onwards universal electrics kits, however as stated these will invalidate any manufacturer warranty you may have.
This applies to all cars and vans except Vivaro and New Movano, the additional warranty for which carries a limit of 100,000 miles from first registration." Vauxhall Warranty information
Bypass Relays
Vauxhall Vivaro 2014 Onwards will require a bypass relay when universal electrics are fitted. Bypass relays are used to ensure that the kit does not present faults on the dashboard. A bypass relay helps the universal kit hide from your vehicle ECU and functions so as not to put faults on the dashboard hence the name “BYPASS”. A dedicated system works in harmony with your vehicles ECU and all of its functions.Coding
This is the coding of the ECU to accept the dedicated system, this updates your vehicle's software to run smoothly with the new towbar, it works very much like an update to your smartphone. All Vauxhall Vivaro 2014 Onwards will not require coding.Bumper cuts
The only option on Vauxhall Vivaro 2014 Onwards towbars are None Visible, and No Cut, a bumper cut is not always required.Nose weight
Nose weight is the amount of weight pushing down on the tow ball, it is important to not exceed the nose weight set on the tow bar, failure to do so could damage the car chassis and/or tow bar mounting points. For the Vauxhall Vivaro 2014 Onwards the maximum capacity nose weight is 85kg, minimum capacity nose weight is 80kg, nose weights are displayed under each tow bar below.Towing weight
Towing weight is the weight that the Vauxhall Vivaro 2014 Onwards towbars can tow safely, without damaging the vehicle, the maximum towing weight capacity is 2000kg.You will need to check the towing limit for your model of Vauxhall Vivaro as it may not be able to tow up to the weight limit that the tow bar can tow.

Vauxhall Vivaro's manufactured in 2006 or 2014 it is important you correctly determine which model you have to ensure you get the correct towbar.
