The first generation Jaguar XF was launched in 2008 and continued all the way up until 2015, when it first went on sale this was a gamble for Jaguar which saw them eliminate retro styling and replaced it with a sleeker, shinier and edgier look. There is plenty of space for the driver and front passenger however with a sloping roof and thinly padded rear seat means that the passengers in the back may not have the most comfortable ride on longer journeys, although the boot does have adequate space for suitcases and luggage. The various engine options on this vehicle don’t do too much moaning unless tested. The steering on this vehicle is well weighted and extremely precise making it quicker than most of its competitors. The Jaguar XF has thin pillars which are advantageous for the driver meaning his view is not obstructed at a busy junction,
The Jaguar XF all come with rear parking sensors as a feature and an infotainment system, however the graphics on this seem dated next to some of the Jaguar’s rivals, it can be unresponsive at times and some of the icons are small and hard to select. The Jaguar XF 2008-2015 has a large towing capacity at 1850kg and is a very easy drive.
