The Alfa Romeo Giulietta was a surprisingly able towing car when put to the test in the ‘Tow Car Awards 2017’. The small Italian hatchback that is marketed on its style does not come as the most obvious choice for a towing car. Not only does the Giulietta pack enough punch to pull an 85% matched caravan from 30-60mph in just 13.1 seconds, it also stops as brilliantly as it started, stopping in 10.3m on a dry track. The vehicle stays stable and composed right up to 70mph even staying in line and straight in the lane change test despite the caravan’s dramatic movements behind it. With a maximum towing capacity of 1500kg the Alfa Romeo Giuletta is a capable and worth towing vehicle, its downfalls lie within the compact rear seats which offer little to no space and a below average sized boot.
