Seat Ateca Towbars
Seat Ateca Towbars
The Ateca is Seat’s all-new model and its first SUV offering. The composition of the vehicle is similar to the Volkswagen Tiguan, but it’s a little shorter than the VW and considerably cheaper in price. There is a choice of petrol and diesel engines with front and four-wheel drive options. The vehicle has a huge 2353kg maximum towing capacity which is enough to be able to comfortably tow a large family sized caravan whilst still keeping to the recommended 85% to be used when towing.
The Ateca is positioned well in the variety of Seat’s vehicles and comes with the drive profile feature which allows the driver to sharpen the throttle response and add weight to the steering by choosing Sports mode. The Ateca is a reliable and sensible car with small body movements that benefit the driving when towing a heavier caravan. There is an abundance of space within the cabin of this vehicle and a taller person sat behind a tall driver in the back would need not be worried about their knees digging in the back. The vehicle has 510 litres of Boot space which is enough to load family luggage.
PF Jones stock and supply towbars for the Seat Ateca and can provide mobile and depot based fitting services across mainland UK.

Seat Ateca Van 2016 onwards
Towbar electric kitsWe recommend that all tow bars fitted to a Seat Ateca 2016 onwards, are fitted with a dedicated electrics kit, this not only helps to ensure all modern features, such as trailer stability, parking sensors function correctly, but also ensures that the vehicles manufacturer’s warranty is not invalidated.
A quick look at Seat's warranty page offers the option to extend your warranty up to 5 years. Depending on whether you have taken the extended warranty cover, Seat Ateca's which are less than three years old, and which have driven less than 60,000 miles on the clock, will have a manufacturers warranty active.
"When you buy your new SEAT from an authorised UK dealer, you’ll get a three-year vehicle warranty. We do of course offer, Seat Ateca 2016 onwards universal electrics kits, however as stated these will invalidate any manufacturer warranty you may have.It includes a two-year unlimited mileage manufacturer’s warranty and a third-year warranty up to 60,000 miles.Seat Warranty information
Plus, you’ll be covered with a three-year paintwork warranty and a 12-year anti-perforation warranty. You can also extend your three-year vehicle warranty by a further one or two years, only at the point of ordering your new SEAT."
Bypass RelaysSeat Ateca 2016 onwards will not require a bypass relay when universal electrics are fitted. Bypass relays are used to ensure that the kit does not present faults on the dashboard.
A bypass relay helps the universal kit hide from your vehicle ECU and functions so as not to put faults on the dashboard hence the name “BYPASS”.
A dedicated system works in harmony with your vehicles ECU and all of its functions.
CodingThis is the coding of the ECU to accept the dedicated system, this updates your vehicle's software to run smoothly with the new towbar, it works very much like an update to your smartphone. All Seat Ateca 2016 onwards will require coding. Dedicated kits will not invalidate any warranty you may have.
Bumper cutsThe only option on the Seat Ateca 2016 onwards towbars are No Cut, a bumper cut is not required.

For the Seat Ateca 2016 Onwards the maximum capacity nose weight is 110kg, the minimum nose weight capacity is 100kg, nose weights are displayed under each tow bar below.
Towing weightTowing weight is the weight that the Seat Ateca 2016 towbars can tow safely, without damaging the vehicle, the maximum towing weight capacity is 2500kg, the minimum towing weight capacity is 2200kg.
