Ford Kuga 2013-2020 Towbars

I have just bought a Ford Kuga Titanium Sport X and want to fit a detachable toe bar in order to fit a cycle 'plank' to transport our bikes.
I had a BMW X1 previously and had a detachable toe bar fitted to find that I couldn't fit a cycle 'plank' unless I had a fixed toe bar. Is this the case with your detachable toe bars and if not can you advise the cost of a detachable toe bar for my car. Its reg is MJ65 EJN.
