The Smart Forfour is a city car range that was released in 2004 before going on an eight year hiatus and returning in 2014. Currently on its second generation, the range shares a platform with the third generation Renault Twingo and is essentially a five door version of the Fortwo model. The vehicles distinctive looks are stretched to allow for the extra space, while the spacious cabin area offers more legroom for passengers and better manoeuvrability. The range is available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines, each with different power outputs for the driver to choose from. The 1.5 litre Cdi diesel engine delivers plenty of power of the cars size, along with delivering light steering and excellent refinement. In all, the Smart Forfour is a cleverly engineered range complete with unique engineering, more interior space and strong diesel engines.
