Hi Duane, It is not actually possible to fit "Twin" electrics onto a detachable bar as the mechanism to remove the bar will be where the 2nd socket would go. What you can do however is get a 13pin kit (12N & 12S combined into 1 socket) with an adapter which will split this back into the two leads for the caravan if required. If the caravan you buy is post 2008 this will more than likely have a 13pin socket fitted. Kind Regards.

Thanks for the info Chris. I have ordered a detachable with the 7 pin dedicated wiring as the caravan I get will be a pre 2008. If needed is it possible to use adaptors to make it a twin socket?

Hi Duane, There is only adapters available to convert a 7pin into a 13pin, however it is possible to get a 12S Upgrade kit. This upgrade kit is the 2nd socket wiring (Grey Socket) and so this will upgrade the 7pin into a "Twin" kit . Kind Regards.

Thanks for answering these questions. Bearing in mind that I have ordered the dedicated wiring option rather than the universal. Would adding a 12s upgrade kit work with this and keep ford happy for the warranty?
