The Mercedes Citan is a panel van range that was introduced in 2012. The range replaced the Vaneo compact MPV model and is the brands first small van series. The vehicles design, technology and engines have all been taken from the Renault Kangoo, as the two models were built alongside one another. The ranges premium badge automatically raises its position in the market, so it is competing with other rivals who are looking to out do the Ford Transit models. The vehicle itself comes in three lengths; compact, long and extra long. The range is available with one petrol and diesel engine, although the diesel is a popular choice. The 1.5 litre dCi diesel engine contains good fuel economy and delivers a great performance that the driver can enjoy. In all, the Mercedes Citan is a capable van range that offers efficient engines and a premium badge.
