The Volkswagen LT is a light commercial panel van range that was launched in 1975 by the German manufacturer. The range produced two generations before being discontinued in 2006. The model is based on the successful Mercedes Sprinter, so some engineering and design similarities can be found. The vehicles big, robust body is well built and the boxy, strong design provides the range with a presence that cannot be ignored. Also, the model is fitted with a basic interior that is comfortable and well set up for the drivers convenience, while the spacious interior offers plenty of legroom and storage space. Available with a selection of diesel engines, these all come with different power outputs. The 2.5 litre diesel engine and the 2.8 litre diesel motor both deliver a punchy performance that provides plenty of power and great fuel consumption. In all, the Volkswagen LT is a practical range with a solid build, boxy design and strong diesel engines.
