St Ives has everything you would expect from a Cornish fishing village plus all the benefits of staying at a holiday resort. The beaches are lovely and the sunsets are stunning. Surfers can catch plenty of waves at the nearby Porthmeor Beach and come into town for a night out if that’s your cup of tea. Facilities at the site are top quality, there is also a children’s play area, games room and supplies to clean your wetsuits after a day out sea. Hairdryers, showers, and hot water are completely free to use.

For clean and well-maintained pitches and facilities, Slapton Sands is your place to be in Devon. It’s all about relaxing on this campsite while taking in the glorious views over Start Bay. The village of Slapton is just down the road with plenty of pubs and food shops to choose from. Lots of day trips can be made from here, such as a visit to Dartmouth which is just a few miles up the road. We definitely recommend taking a boat trip up the river to Totnes!
