Top adults-only sites to relax

If you are looking forward to getting away as soon as lockdown is over and you do not want your much-awaited holiday to get ruined by noisy families, your best option is to pick an adults-only caravan site and somewhere you are guaranteed a quiet location. Avoid the sites that have pools bursting with waterslides or playgrounds and instead opt for a tranquil setting, where you can enjoy peaceful silence and only hear nature.

Here are some of the best sites for a quiet caravan trip:

Lincomb Lock Caravan Park

Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, England

This site is ideal if you want to go for a stroll along the beautiful river, as it is situated on the riverside of the Severn. It is also a popular choice for fishing, with River Severn fishing rights included on site, as well as being a short distance from Shatterford Fishery. If you are planning a summer trip, the site is a real suntrap during the warmer months. There are also lots of good mountain biking trails and golf courses locally.

Stroud Hill Park

Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England

This adult-sonly site is in a very rural setting next to a golf course in the sleepy village of Pidley. It is another site that is ideal for fishing, with a three-acre fishing lake on site. There are some lovely options for day trips if you want to see the architecture in Cambridge or explore St Ives.

Green Acres Caravan Park

Carlisle, Cumbria

Just a short drive from the Lake District, Green Acres is nestled in the Cumbrian countryside and is a very peaceful site for adults only. You can explore the historical city of Carlisle or stay local, with bike hire available onsite if you want to get out for a ride. Hadrians Wall and the Scottish borders are also in close proximity to the site, if you fancy going a bit further afield to explore.

Cheddar Bridge Touring Park

Cheddar, Somerset, England

Overlooking the picturesque Mendip Hills, the River Yeo winds through this beautiful and tranquil site, where you can switch off from any distractions and enjoy the peace and quiet. Cheddar village is a short walk away and there are plenty of walking options in the local area.

Back of Beyond Touring, Camping and Glamping Park

St Leonards, Dorset, England

Just as the name of this site implies, if you are looking for a secluded haven, you will struggle to find a site more perfect than this one. The site is spread over 30 acres of stunning woodland and has a river running through it with free fishing, as well as wildlife lakes. It is a dog-friendly site with a 10-acre woodland dedicated specifically for dog walking.

All of these sites offer a kids-free, peaceful vacation, while still providing lots of opportunities to explore nature and interesting local areas. There has already been a big increase in the number of people searching for staycations this year, so make sure you get your towbar fitted as soon as you can to avoid the rush.
